Rememberance
I posted this game almost a year ago. The lessons from it are about: memory, forgefulness, loss, gratitude, and in game design, how to make a meaningful story and world, with puzzles that connect them.
Since the launch of the game, I've gone through some life changes. One of which being the divorce, others unnamed, and another, essentially building a house with my father. A period of healing, introspection, learning, and also, in idle times, thinking about creating. I'm counting down to where I have my own space again, my things (game design things included) are out of my storage unit, and I have more time to create, and consequently, update the art and puzzles for this game.
I had a lofty Idea for re-playability. One that goes against your normal methods of replay and user retention, and, and plays in to the theme perfectly:
- A leaderboard, first headed by if it is your first (second, third, etc,) playthrough.
- Second, it is judged by the time since your last playthrough (with a minimum of one year, no maximum.)
- Third, by the number you got right.
- Fourth, by the amount of time it took you to go through the playthrough.
This means, a person who records a second playthrough the game 3 years later will score more than someone who plays 1 years later.
This system takes honesty, but would be rewarding and interesting, especially if the pool got large enough. So here it is, the memorial/leaderboard.

Re-playability on a time scale of some years, with the longest wait and older age being prioritized? Where memory actually faltering from aging has an effect? Not a commercial move, but it compels me.
